Why is the Fitbit App not saving my Changes?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have made changes on the Fitbit App both online and on my phone that are not saved. I have the latest software and firmware; the watch is less than 1 month old. I have rebooted numerous times.

One very annoying feature is the "Walk Detected" that keeps alerting me after I walk a certain distance. There is no way to disable this feature. Once this happens, the time on my watch becomes inaccessible until I scroll down and end the walk. Another annoying feature is that my watch alerts me all throughout the day to take a stress scan. Sadly, the Sense 2 has gone the wrong direction from my original Sense watch.

Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Hello @jcarlton001 and welcome to the Community.  It sounds like you turned off the Auto-recognized activities. Walk detect is a different feature that turns on the Exercise app.  Please do the following to turn it off:

  • Short press the button, then open the Exercise app
  • Choose Walk
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen
  • Look for Walk detect and toggle it off

This same feature is in the Run and Bike shortcuts.  You must turn them off individually.

I hope this helps.

Update:  A firmware update is rolling out.  It is adding Auto Detect to the elliptical, rowing and spinning shortcuts.
