auto recognising exercise

How do I switch this off? I'm in the middle of a football game and want to check the time but it's running a stopwatch tracking my exercise automaticvally. I don't want this. It's then a pain to stop the exercise tracking in the middle of sport when I just want to see what time it is! So frustrating.

I've turned off (or tried to) automatically tracking but it won't go away!

Swipe right or left till you see the exercise/work out display, click on start training, click then on a training, scroll down and there you can find to turn the auto recognising exercise off (or on). Maybe you have to do this process with all the work outs, because I had to do it with mine, all individually.

Is this called the workout mode? Whatever it is, I want to switch it off.

@SMDprofile   The Sense 2/Versa 4 have a new auto detection feature that is different from the SmartTrack feature.  It's in three exercise shortcuts: Walk, Run, and Bike.  I think this is what you are experiencing.  As you discovered, it's on by default in each shortcut.  Here's how to turn it off.

  • Open your Exercise app either by short pressing the button > Exercise -- or -- swipe to your Exercise tile on the screen and choose All
  • Select Run
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen to go to the settings for that shortcut
  • Swipe up to Walk detect and toggle it to Off
  • Repeat these steps in the Run and Bike shortcut

I also want to point out that you can see the current time when you are intentionally using any shortcut in the Exercise app.  The middle screen has a number of real time stats.  The current time is one of the middle stats that you see by tapping on the screen.  The Sense 2/Versa 4 both let you customize the top, middle, and bottom stat.  You can set the current time to be the top or bottom stat, if you want.

I hope this helps.
