I see you can create a meal but it's easier to create a recipe and then log a portion of that recipe into your logs.  So, I'd like to build the whole recipe per the cooking instructions and then just log one eighth of the recipe into my log.  But I have to reduce the ingredients to one serving in order to create a meal. this is annoying.  Does anyone know how to build a recipe and then log a portion?

To my knowledge, you can't build a recipe.  You can, however, head to the Feature Suggestions board and suggest it there.

@suequinn   I used to use the recipe feature at MyFitnessPal, but I haven't used it in a while.  The ingredient list had a very large list of brand and generic items.  I hope you can still create a recipe, divide it into the serving size, then adapt it to your food list.
