When you start an exercise activity, the screen on the sense shows you this exercise and you cannot leave this screen. Swipe from left to right doesn't do anything, and if you press the button on the side it pauses the exercise and brings up the screen to allow you to end or resume.
The only option I've found is to double press the button which brings up a list of shortcuts, you can access music from here, and then to return to exercise you have to swipe from left to right. There doesn't appear to be an easy way to access music controls from the sense while exercising. Has anyone else noticed this? There also doesn't appear to be an easy way to "toggle" between recently used/open apps where you could swap quickly between "exercise" and "weather" for example.
Hopefully Fitbit improves this in the future as exercising while using the sense to control music playback on your phone seems like a pretty standard use case.

Hi @bobby2478. It's great to see you here.
Thanks for your thorough feedback about the control music feature on your Sense, I'll help you out with each of your questions. Let me explain that your watch won't allow you to leave the exercise screen to access other apps before completing your activity. However, you can set Music as a Press & Hold or Double Press shortcuts so you can control music playing on your nearby phone without interrupting your exercise tracking.
Our team strives to improve our devices and their features. For this reason, I'd recommend to share your suggestions about being able to access other apps during your exercise, as well to switch between recently used/open apps on the Sense in the Feature Suggestions board so our developers can take them into consideration for new updates or product development. You can find more about this board here.
Hope to see you around more often!
