Add an instant exercise stop option-Sense

Hi All

I’ve just upgraded from the Ionic to the Sense thanks to FitBits unbelievable refund/upgrade option (so thank you guys)

However having upgraded, the stop/start on the Ionic was far superior to that of the Sense thanks to a simple button click

I’m guessing the guys who developed the watches stop/start feature have never really raced a single race in their life as they’ve added milliseconds to the counter (like it matters), yet it can take a few seconds to even up scroll then hit the pause or end (not that I’m to bothered about those seconds)

What bother me is when your working really in a race, it can be hard to activate the screen sometimes on the Sense in order to stop the exercise (especially when you have a neurological issues)

Maybe a simpler feature would have been, when you start/stop every exercise, you simply completing the circuit via both tiny touch pads on either sides of the watch and then it simply buzzes notifying the user letting them know it’s worked

I know I can sometimes spend a long time faffing trying to stop the exercise by touching the screen, then trying to scroll up and then hitting the end or pause options on the screen

What do others think about how the system works or am I missing an alternative shortcut which instantly stops an exercise

Cheers, Shane

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Shakey-Shane.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for the information provided.

In addition to the exercise shortcuts available in the Exercise app, your Watch is able to track your runs automatically. For more information, please visit this article and open the menu "Which activities does my Fitbit device track automatically?".

At the moment, the only way to stop a workout on your Fitbit device is by swiping up and tapping the end icon. If you would like to make any suggestion you are welcome to visit the Feature Suggestions board which is constantly monitored by the engineering team for future implementations.

Have a nice day.

Alternatively, you can press the button (instead of swiping up on the screen) and then tap Pause or End on the screen.

Cheers for the reply @deiG although I’ve found this harder work as I usually end up clicking it twice where it pops up the quick access menu
