Will the original Sense get an update for this or is it only going to be available on the new Sense 2?

@mjdmaine If you are in the US, you will get this feature. Fitbit needs to roll this out to many users. I’ve seen something like this take weeks to roll out.

Sense will get it. When it comes to Sense 2 nothing has been said about a Sense 2. If there will be one, my guess it will be announced in August.

If Fitbit is reading this, please tell us when this feature is available and how to enable it. I am in the US, and I have the latest firmware, and when I go to Discover--Assessments, there is no option to enable notifications for the Afib detection. This roll out is a disaster - no communication from Fitbit, just overall bad consumer experience. I chatted with Fibit last night, and after 20 minutes of mostly waiting (and sharing a screen shot) the person said they would have to email me (yes email) when they were able to have a higher level of service get me an answer. In other words, this person helping me had no answer. And, still no email. Nothing. If the answer is "wait" then tell us how long. Don't put out a press release that all the press picks up on and reports, as if this is available ubiquitously in the US, but give the users no information on timing and process.

@kazters This feature is only available in the US. This is a medically regulated feature. It needed approval by the US FDA to be released here. It will become available in other countries when it gets approval by the equivalent regulatory body in the UK and other countries.
Fitbit is aware that non-US users are getting this banner.

@StephC74 The Sense and Charge 5 already have the Fitbit ECG app, which is what you linked to. What's new is Fitbit Irregular Rhythm Notifications, coming to several of the newer devices. That's what's only USA right now.
