Attempted to setup Alexa but only succeeded in messing up both my Amazon accounts. Spent about ten hours with Amazon but was unable to delete or alter either account. Farewell to both Alexa and Amazon. Am eagerly awaiti

As all efforts to setup Alexa resulted in dismal failure, what is the latest news of GA coming to the Sense.

If you are unable to setup Alexa, you may have similar problems with Google.

Google assistant is to come with a later update. 

Normally a user will tell the Alexa app to log into their current Alexa account. It sounds like you created a second Alexa account instead of simply logging in.
