App that detects irregular background rhythm

This is about the app on my Fitbit Sinse that runs in the background to detect irregular background rhythm events. The app detected many such events on November 21, and then nothing until November 24 - and then many events again. Is the app designed to skip checking for 3 days, or did it check and just not detect any events those 3 days?

Hi @stanhilliard - firstly it depends on you and whether there were any to detect and what you are doing at the time (if there is an issue) and secondly on how well the watch is syncing with the phone.

Manually syncing and restarting both watch and phone may improve syncing, if indeed there is even an issue with it.

@stanhilliard   I participated in the study that developed this feature and I can share more insight on how this feature works.  This feature only analyzes your rhythm at rest.  The irregular rhythm must exist for a minimum of 30 minutes.  I can guarantee that is isn't designed to skip checking for three days.  You can see the last time your rhythm was analyzed by tapping on the You icon on the bottom right of your Fitbit app, then Irregular rhythm notifications.

This feature is designed to monitor for signs of atrial fibrillation.  If you have an atrial fibrillation diagnosis, then Fitbit specifically states that this feature isn't designed to monitor the condition.

If all your other data is syncing correctly, then I don't think this is a syncing issue.

Thanks, On Nov. 24th I had 10 hits between 5:05 AM and 1:25 PM. The hits occurred 15 minutes apart to 3.5 hours apart. Values are like 40- 175 bpm. Am I correct to assume the 40 & 175 are the maximum and minimum duration between consecutive beats in a sample of such durations  and converted to bpm? If I am correct, how big is the sample? (in beats or time.)
