Audible Alexa Responses?

When the Sense was first advertised (and even many reviews) I remember something being said about being able to now hear Alexa's replies.  I tried Alexa and just got the display on the screen but no audible response.  Is this something that is to be added with a future update? Just wondering.  I can hear the start up chime on the Sense but that's all that I can hear from the speaker.  Would be nice if you could get audible sounds with timers, alarms, and notifications (with the option to silence them when sleeping).

They say that the speaker wok be activated on the future. 

Alexa responds through text.
