In the last week, my 18 month old Sense has started the 6 hour battery drain that others have experienced. It hasnt been in or near water. So dont believe moisture has gotten in. i think its either due to a bad firmware upgrade or planned obsolesence to try to force me to buy a new fitbit. Support was worthless and the product has been buggy from day 1. Time to look elsewhere.

Did you happen to ask Support for a Battery Test? That would have pinpointed the problem.

Can they do that remotely?

Yes, you'll likely need a camera to show what happens when they ask you to perform certain tasks.

They just had me recharge the battery and then observe afterwards. And the battery de-charged again in roughly the same time period.
----------
Thanks - I'll get on a chat with them again and ask them to do a battery test.
----------
Chatted with support. They told me the battery test was already done when they had me recharge the watch and watch it quickly drain again. When I mentioned in my closing comments about reading all the comments in the forums about many users having similar issues within a short time period after the warranty expiration, and that there must be design issues since $300 watches should last longer than a 1.5 yrs, the guy told me that some watches like the sense had more issues than other watches - and not all of their watch models had issues. I didn't say anything more.
----------
Well I may have figured out why my watch was excessively draining. As mentioned previously, I had already turned off as many of the GPS toggles as I could in the Exercises, but GPS was/is still showing up in the online Fitbit settings page. About an hour ago, I turned off Heart Zone Notifications on all the Exercises. And all of sudden no more drain. I even went back to my old clock face afterwards (which I thought maybe was part of the problem) and my watch is still sitting on the same battery percentage as it was before I made the recent change(s). Will continue to observe, but encouraging so far.
----------
Update: Figured out why my battery stopped being drained. The sensors aren't working. And I can't figure out if there's a way to restart them or if they are dead permanently. I've tried resetting the phone amongst other things.
