Battery for my Sense drains while powdered off

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So, I updated my Fitbit Sense last night.  My watch is maybe almost 2 weeks old. I powdered it off last night with a battery charge of 98%. When I powered it back on this morning (without any additional charging) my battery said it was at 87%. Why is my Fitbit Sense losing battery while it is completely powered down?

So far, I haven't noticed the battery to drain drastically when it the watch is not turned off.  The battery drains about 10% a day while it is powered on.  I'll keep an eye out for if the battery drains when I randomly tend to power my watch off. How often should the Sense be powered off?

@Carnella  All batteries deteriorate over time, especially fully charged ones even more so. Though a 11% decline seems excessive.

Your Sense is designed to be worn all the time, especially at night to get the best results of health monitoring.

Right!! I thought that it was very strange for my brand new watch to drain while powdered off, especially after I just the did the recommended update for the watch and charging it.

What is the average daily draining amount for the battery?

A sense has a built in SpO2 tracker which if you use the watch lightly should enable it to last 4 days on a charge. If used more extensively it could be less. See here for more thorough explanations.
