Battery not charging on Sense

My sence won't turn on, charge or sync.

This happened after an update and now Fitbit won't replace or repair my device, all they said always because it was out of warranty they will offer me 35% discount off a new device.

I think this is despicable, I now have a £300 paper weight and reading all the comments on the community page I'm not the only one that's having the problem.

I am having the same problem - my Sense will not charge. I would be happy to try this solution with the clock face but there is no way to change the clock after the battery is already completely drained - the app needs to sync with the watch.

Hi @amylynn7 - if the watch is not faulty did you follow this link How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen

Actually, at some point during the night, the clock face change worked! (or it was sheer coincidence that it started charging again and the clock face changed). But, relevant to the article you sent, there is a problem with one of the pins in the charger - it’s lower than the other 3 pins. Does this mean that I need to order a new charger?

@amylynn7 - yes you need a new charge cable, it may have had nothing to do with the clock face change, just that it was able to charge this time.

I am also having theissue of my Sense not charging.   When I hold down the on/awake button all I can see is a picture of a red battery with 0% charge.  I've been trying to charge it for 2 days now.  My Sense isn't even at the 1 year mark yet.  Very disappointed.   There is clearly something wrong with the product for so many of us.   I may need to look into another brand since it seems that none of us are able to obtain satisfactory results in fixing this issue.

Before my Sense stopped charging and syncing altogether, I had a full battery in the morning and by bedtime it was down to 6%.  Very disappointed in this product and I'm thankful that I did spend money on the premium service or other products after reading your post.

I searched on every forum on internet and eventually end up fixing this by seeing your Apple Watch stuck on the charging screen can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:-

1. Charge for longer:- If your watch was completely drained, it might take longer than usual to show signs of life. Leave it on the charger for at least 30 minutes even if the screen remains black initially.
2. Use the right charger:- Ensure you're using the original Apple Watch charger and cable. Avoid using third-party chargers or cables as they might not provide enough power or be compatible.
3. Clean the charging contacts:- Gently wipe the charging contacts on the back of your Apple Watch and the charger with a dry, lint-free cloth. Dirt or debris can hinder proper charging.
4. Normal restart:- If the watch is responsive (you can press buttons and see a faint display), try a regular restart. Press and hold the side button until you see the power off slider, then swipe to power off. Wait a few seconds and then press and hold the side button again to power it back on.
5. Force restart:- If a regular restart doesn't work or the watch is unresponsive, try a force restart. Press and hold both the side button and the Digital Crown simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo appear. More details assistance below.

I had the same problem and bought a pair of new charging cables from Amazon. The springs that push the charging pins out to make contact with the sense wear out with use and will not charge. The Sense charges with the new cables. Was surprised that support never considered the cable as being a problem, and I had no idea that the pins had springs behind them.
