Has anyone heard about when or if sense is going to get a blood pressure app. Update

And how would you then measure your blood pressure? You would still need a cuff or similar to get a reading and they can't even get the Sp02 working during the day or for spot checks so what makes you think they'll add BP monitoring?

This will require an additional hardware such as a special active watch band with an air pump.
A third party made such a band for the Apple Watch.
My guess, like the Fitbit headphones that every one wanted, this feature would also quickly fail.

They still would need more sensors to get a true reading.
Actually yes I am, most simply look at the heart rate, your weight, height, activity level, etc and then take an educated guess at the blood pressure. This is why they don't have FDA approval.
It was only a few months ago that the FDA approved the first skin placed sensor for reading the blood pressure. Fitbit hasn't released any medical add ons without the FDA approval.
The latest FDA approved method is to use video of the face to read the blood pressure and they have units designed for the first responder as well as home use.
In any case, the sense still does not have the required hardware.

Hi @Harley07 yes you're right there are plenty of cheap watches on Amazon that claim to measure blood pressure but are neither accurate or medically approved. In order to accurately measure BP you need to temporarily stop the flow of blood and measure the hearts pressure using a cuff or similar. Only one watch - the Omron HeartGuide here is the only FDA approved watch available at the moment. Any other device is neither medically approved and can vary wildly from device to device. So, if you want an estimate of your BP then by all means get a cheap watch from Amazon. If however you want an accurate measurement then buy either the Omron or a dedicated BP cuff. Also why do you feel the need to shout about your phones capabilities? compensating for something are we?

@Harley07 - I guess the answer to your question is this - We have not heard when or if the Sense will be adding this feature. I googled “Fitbit, Sense, Blood Pressure” but did not find any rumors there.
On a side note here, we are all simply Fitbit users trying to help other Fitbit users. This is not a place for name calling.

No i'm not angry, just pointing out the obvious to you. You can't expect Fitbit, a company who only produce products designed to track your wellbeing, to release a feature that requires medical approval in multiple markets? As @Rich_Laue stated no Fitbit has the necessary hardware so it would be just an estimate at best, the Omron watch actually has a pressure cuff built into the strap to enable it to measure the pumping pressure accurately. Otherwise it would be like the running power features of Garmin, Polar, Coros etc. it'll depend on their software algorithm which can vary wildly between manufacturers.
