If my phone has to be near by to answer a call with my Fitbit, why don’t I just answer the phone that’s right near by?

Hi @ForbesOconchar - you can always use your phone. But if it's in a pocket or handbag or you don't have a free hand, or cleans hands, it may be easier or more practical to use the watch.
