Can't connect Sense controls on my Android phone

Hello please help!

I'm unable to connect to Sense controls on my android phone. This means I cannot get notifications on my Sense. I wanted this tracker for the ability to use as a smart watch but I can't actually do that! Any advice please? I've reinstalled both app and tracker factory settings. It says on the app under notifications that I need a phone reset but I've done that 4 times too and still nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, @Dw1980, welcome to the community, you do not mention if you have successfully paired and synced your Sense to your mobile phone or the make & model of your phone so please forgive me for starting at the begining.

Most phones work well with Fitbit devices but you may find Fitbit-compatible devices useful.

@Dw1980-  FYI, Sense Controls is used for On wrist calls -  Notifications are done via Sense [Bluetooth entry].

If you reinstalled the Fitbit App the Device Notification set up will need to be redone, including App Notifications.

@Gr4ndp4-  has given you lots of good links to help getting it working.

Unfortunately the app is still requesting a phone restart. I was able temporarily to get messages on my Fitbit Sense but the message has returned. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled. I restarted my phone (Huawei P30 Pro) but I am still unable to use smart watch features on my tracker. Any other advice please?

Hi, @Dw1980, Check through the steps mentioned in this article Fitbit-compatible devices. You should also note that the Fitbit app needs to have all the permissions allowed and any battery-saving function on your phone disabled for the Fitbit app. This last is because some phones close the Fitbit app down as "non-essential" to save power whereas you need the app to be running constantly in the background.

Make sure that battery optimization/power management has been disabled for the fitbit app.
