Cannot remove Weather app from Sense

There are a couple of apps installed on my Sense that I do not use.

I would like to remove them but the normal Install/Uninstall button is stuck on "Install" and grayed out.

What to do?

Thanks

Depends on which apps.  Some pre-installed can't be removed - maybe what you are looking at.  I couldn't tell you why.

Thanks for the response Johnny

They are "Weather" and "Exercise".  I can see why FB might consider "Exercise" to be necessary - their one size fits all OPINION - but I can surely feel the weather with my own skin.

Anyhow ...

Welcome to the Community, @anotherquestion@JohnnyRow Thanks for your help.

@anotherquestion Thanks for your question and efforts. As our friend mentioned, there are some Fitbit apps installed by default which cannot be removed. I understand your thoughts about the Weather app and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

I appreciate your feedback and if you haven't done so, please vote for this suggestion shared in the Feature Suggestions board, as this will help our developers to keep tracking its demand.

Done, and I've now been to a place I've never been before.

Hi @anotherquestion - wondering why you want to remove the weather app, which is an integral part of the watch and preinstalled?

You are not obliged to use it but you can go to the Weather app in the Gallery tile and remove all permissions then it becomes inoperative.

Hi Guy

I've not been pleased with my Sense's battery life.  I figure getting the stuff I don't use off the piece will help and didn't know the Weather app was a built-in.  The most effective thing I've done so far is getting rid of the SpO2 measurement.

We all have different uses, needs and expectations.  The more flexibility we have the more satisfied we will be with our Fitbits.   Given that the piece is running on a battery and has limited space I think handling apps as opt-in would be a better way than opt-out.

Now you get to your issue.

Most important - make sure you you do not have snore detection turned on.

My phone has dozens of apps on it that I cannot remove.  I live with it - doubt they are affecting battery life.

Thanks again JohnnyRow

Well, one never gets an answer if the right question is not asked.  My understanding now is what I have is as good as it is going to get.  It will be interesting to see if the battery life now is anywhere near Fitbit's claim of up to 6 days.
