The Ionic had issues with the charging contacts on the back of the watch. Has this been addressed with the new Sense watch? I have an Ionic about 2 years old and having huge problems with it charging.

The biggest issue I have had is soap, hand lotion, and sweat buildup on the contacts which had to be cleaned off.

well for me one contact is almost totally gone. making bad connection when charging. And i have messaged a person online that repairs them but its like $100 to have it fixed and about 2 weeks to get it back.. not sure its worth that much to fix. I have heard others have the same issue.

I really can not say that others are having a problem with the Sense charging contacts. Fitbit has not shipped any except to a few reviewers.

I had the same issues with the Ionic charging contacts. They seemed to be quite soft and as a result pitted easily. After one year now with the Versa 2, the contacts on that look almost brand new. So hopefully this will translate to the Versa 3/Sense.

I have an Ionic that is sitting in my desk drawer because I can no longer charge it, regardless of how clean the contacts are. It lasted about 15 months (of course after the warranty was over). I've ordered the Sense with hopes that the new charger will help. I've had just about every Fitbit made and love them, but the durability sucks. First, it was the integrated watch bands that separated after a few months, and then it is the inability to charge them.
