Chronic software problems with Fitbit Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using various Fitbit devices for a very long time. I recently purchased a Sense and I am astounded by the different software issues that come up almost weekly. I have no reason to believe that the drip, drip, drip of problems will stop. Am I the only Sense user who feels this way? I know the Apple Watch is more expensive but does it have the same “we are very sorry but we’re working on it” technology issues as Fitbit?

I assume you just wanted to vent, which is okay, but if you would ask about your issues here, preferably one at a time, we might be able to offer you some help.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for your prompt response. Let’s start out with a recent issue: the battery level on my iPhone Fitbit app and my Sense disagree. Any ideas?

Only thought is that app value would get set at sync;  if hasn't synced for a while, might not show current value of device.

I admit that's one I don't pay much attention to.  Occasionally when I am sitting at my computer in the evening, I check battery level on wrist and charge for 10 minutes or so if it is, say, below 50%.

Thanks. I think you’re right. I pay attention to the Sense, not the phone. Just charge it when it looks low.

Here are some of what I experience:

I am in the car, no exercise selected, but the software logged over 3k steps an 13 stairs climbed, this happens "all the time"

I am doing a workout/cardio and the HR does not go over 95, even though I am working really hard

I am sick at home, on the main floor all day, still the watch shown 5 stairs climbed

I have set notification for high and low HR, NEVER gotten any notifications even though I can see on the graph that my HR was over the high limit.

The only reliable number I get is nighttime SpO2! Oh, and my battery lasts OK, 3-4 days, which I can live with.

I have tried resets on both watch and phone

"working on it" for how long now???
