Customer Feedback to Fitbit

I have been using the Sense for the last two weeks now and I have to say that is a mixed bag of emotion.

I have used various smartwatches and fitness trackers in the past, so i just wanted to send an email to Fitbit about the pros and cons of this watch.

Pros:

1) Fitbit has come a long say since the Versa 1, acquiring Pebble has made their fitness tracker more of a smartwatch, with voice replies easily handled through the microphone.

2) Amazing Battery Life, Gorgeous Display resolution and having both microphone and speaker is a huge plus.

3) Being one of three health devices, this is the only one that can be used with any android device. Apple must use Iphone and Samsung must use a Samsung phone.  This was a very bad decision by Samsung because i sold my Galaxy Active 2 and bought myself the Sense.  I currently own a Pixel phone and love it.  Fitbit is the only one of the three that does not have a closed system.

4) Having both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa on the watch is a big improvement that adds smartwatch features to the watch.

Cons:

1) I don't understand why Fitbit tries to sell a Premium membership for additonal data when they are charging $429 for this device.  Other companies like Garmin include most of this data for free when you buy their watch.

2) Having an ECG measure with two fingers on the corners of the watch is a very bad idea.  I have a screen protector case that doesn't enable the EDA or ECG to measure, so I have to take off the screen protector to take a measurement.  Why couldn't this be done with the sensors under the watch like Samsung or Apple Watch? Great feature but poor design choice.

3) No online music store was a dealbreaker and being forced to choose between Spotify or Deezer so i can pay an additional $10 to $15 a month was not cost effective.  Other watches have built in music storage at a lower cost.

4) The heart rate is not accurate at the beginning of a workout.  It catches up later.  Not very reliable.

I love the health device features of this watch but can't accept the poor design choices so I am returning the watch.

If the watch had these sensors in the right place and there was music storage and no additional charge for the premium features , i would have kept the watch.

I completely agree with your assessment. Overall I love the Fitbit application and don't really need the premium.  I like being able to use Alexa and having a great display.  However, I don't have the need for the additional details provided with their premium program. So let me know when you choose to make the purchase again.
