A new feature on the Sense is detecting an A-Fib episode. However, you cannot use this feature if you have already been diagnosed with A-Fib. Why? Even though I take medication to control A-Fib episodes, I still want to know when episodes occur and their frequency. This information is useful in knowing my medication is working well or if I need to consult my cardiologist for a possible change in medication.

Why do you say you can't use it is already diagnosed? Is that a quote from Fitbit website, or from the app?

Is this the previous on-demand feature, or do have the new constant detector already?
My guess, and it is just that, is that it does not meet the FDA regulations standards for those who have been diagnosed, no idea if didn't meet accuracy, or perhaps not even tested for that case.
Of course, there's nothing to prevent you from answering that incorrectly, just to see what kind of results you get, but don't legally trust results.

@GKIndia This feature needed approval by the US Food and Drug Administration for release, just like the ECG app on the Sense. The ECG app was released in India when it got approval by the equivalent regulatory body in India. The manual says this will be released in other countries with the same approval in the Indications for Use section.
@Joe4904 The manual might give you some insight about users who have already been diagnosed with A-fib.
