After using the Sense I am coming to the conclusion that there are far too many bugs in almost every area of this watch that make it at all useful in lowering stress. It’s seems rushed and incomplete. My stress has increased with this product and it feels like an expensive waste of money. Sorry to be hard and truthful, but there it is.
The heart rate monitor is extremely inaccurate. There are multiple times through the week it tells me I’ve hit my cardio zone when in fact I’m calm and have a resting heart rate.
The EDA scan feels like a waste of time.. I can be completely calm and stress free and the results are not how I feel. Times that I have been stressed, I get no responses. If you have naturally sweaty hands, be prepared for this watch to tell you you’re having multiple stress responses.
Sense control constantly disconnects to the point that I’m reconnecting multiple times a day.
I have only ever slept 5-6 hours and I feel well with this. If I get more, I feel awful. 8 hours doesn’t work for everyone. Many people who practice being restful and meditate multiple times daily do not need this much sleep. Sense seems to think this is bad. More settings and different sleep algorithms would be helpful.
The Relax app for me is useless. Purple circle, green blue circle and no circle at all with zero explanation or description that makes sense. No matter how slow my heart rate is and no matter how slow I breath during set up, it sets a breathing rate that will raise my bmp. A manual breathing rate setting with pause options would fix this. I tried the free one that does this and it constantly turns the screen off and crashes.
The screen freezes and gets delays in response constantly. Very disappointing.
A separate mediation app would be useful in logging mindfulness. The guided meditations are more like instructions than guided and most of them with exception of Deepak Chopra are very annoying. If there was a separate meditation app to set a time and have heart rate, breathing rate, and heart rate variability logged for mindfulness, I would find this very useful.
I lift weights 5 mornings of the week, and do minimal cardio for specific reasons.. no matter how I log this, my exertion balance seems to drop. I’ll briskly walk 30 minutes total to and from work up the steepest hills you can imagine, 4 brisk dog walks daily and BMX time several times a week, (which if you haven’t ever tried at the age of 44 is an **ahem** kicking) Fitbit says this isn’t enough? I call BS.
It’s clear this watch needs more work and updates very badly. I’m going to try it until the 3 month premium is expired and if there has been no updates and attention to fixing more bugs to be listed then I’m selling it and moving on. I feel like I was doing better before without the stress of an unfinished product.
