Display blacked out during a workout

I went out for a long run this weekend.  I had 80% charge.  I enabled the always on display.  about 4 miles into my run I noticed the watch having trouble with GPS.  The next thing I saw was that the display when entirely black.  When I pushed the buton on the side, I could feel a vibration and there was a very light red dots display for a moment on the watch, but no time display.  There were other vibrations so I know that the watch was still recording steps, but I could never get the display back.  I plugged it into the charger at home and the display came up and showed 64% remaining charge.  I was able to complete my run on the watch at that time.  What happened here and can I correct this next time without losing all of my run data?

Hi @lscalgk It is difficult to tell what happened and whether it will happen again. I suggest you restart the sense a couple of times (in case it is a minor glitch, in which case that shoild stop it recurring). If it does happen again then do a Factory reset (settings app and scroll down to About ). If it still recurrs after this then contact Support.
