 this showed up on my home screen.  Can't figure out how to get back to normal display. I have shut down and restarted.

That's one of the clock faces, I think one of Fitbit's, maybe circles showing your progress.  Put finger on display and hold a few seconds to be able to scroll through clock faces you have saved, or look through clock faces on phone app.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
