When cycling at the gym, does it count metabolic equivalent of task (MET)  ?

I guess it can't calculate distance since the exercise is stationary and can't tell if I increased the difficulty by going uphill.

So when cycling at the gym it can only judge according to the heart beat or ?

Then it has to be able to connect with treadmill machines in order to take data from the treadmill. That would be amazing.
