Does the Sense measure and display SpO2?

Suddenly Fitbit is offering measurement of oxygen saturation.   Does the new "Sense" Fitbit display instantaneous results on your wrist or do you need a "smart phone" with an additional program to see results?

At this time I believe it only works through the SpO2 clockface and is used only for oxygen levels during sleep.  Check out the manual here:

It’s only EOV (estimated oxygen variation) shown for sleep on app. And values for top and bottom of range during sleep (on watch face). Eg. 95-97. Range for your last sleep only.

Thank you.   I was hoping to get a "clockface" display during activity.   I use supplemental oxygen when active and want a reading where I don't need to stop for a finger-tip meter use.

I'm not sure if the Fitbit app is required but I notice that the SPO2 watch face will only display the details after synching with the app AND waiting for the system to process all of the sleep information (15 minutes or so).

AND, you have to make sure to select the Spo2 before going to sleep at night. Such a silly implementation.
