When I start a workout, whether riding my bike outside or just walking it does not pause automatically when I stop at the traffic lights. That was perfectly implemented with Samsung Active 2.
I literally had to manually pause and start the whole time. When biking this is next to impossible.
Is there something I didn't adjust to make it work ?

Hi!
As I can see, there is the auto-pause option in the setting of exercises. You just need to turn it on.
Photo of this option in running workout:
You just need to swipe down and you will find out the option beloelw the GPD f-tion.
I hope it helps

Hi @SunsetRunner before starting a run or walk, I swiped up for settings and do not see a setting for air auto pause.
I'm not sure how this feature on Fitbit relates to the Samsung phone. You don't even need to bring the phone to record a walk or bike ride.

With Samsung active 2 I didn't have to bring my phone with me to start a GPS workout.
It would stop immediately when I stopped at the traffic lights. Once I started riding again it would continue counting the workout time. This happened several times because where I live we don't have just one traffic light. Same with starting a walking exercise.
Fitbit Sense doesn't seem to have this feature in it's fitness function. It keeps counting time as if I am training while waiting 1 minute at the traffic light every time. It's not just the traffic light, I can stop for any reason for a short time.
Samsung was still registering my heart rate and my location but it warned me with a vibration that I stopped moving. Once I pushed the pedal it continued the workout.
Very advanced.
Come on fitbit !!!

Note that you need to set it for each exercise separately. Also it is not an option for walking.

I have a Note 10+ and selected Treadmill, but that option you refer to is not listed. I've always had to stop the app after I stop exercising. Maybe it only comes up with exercises where you are moving. On the treadmill for me, the only thing moving are my legs.

However that option is not available for walking, which is what I am doing while injured from running. Not good enough Fitbit. Get it together for my very expensive Sense. My Amazfit, with longer battery and less cost can sort this, but not you?
