ECG Results inconclusive?

So I've managed to get the ecg app installed on the watch, but everytime I try taking a reading, I get results inconclusive. I've looked at the graphs that are output by the app and they look like normal sinus rythum to me (not a doctor) except there's always one or two seconds at the beginning where the reading is all over the place. Regardless I've tried about 15 times and every time it comes back inconclusive. Getting frustrated with this $300 paperweight, for all the bells and whistles it's got, it sure doesn't like to cough up any actual DATA. Fitbit, do you think us all idiots? I can read a graph, I know what pulse ox percentage is, what an ecg about to ought to look like, stop treating everything like a holistic, vegan, chia seed therapy session and GIVE ME NUMBERS. I didn't buy this **ahem**ed thing to get in touch with my inner self or trancend to higher states of consciousness by breathing positive energy through my butt-hole, I got it so I would have an idea if I was ABOUT TO DIE. About ready to return this thing and get a galaxy watch, except now I find out that wont work without a galaxy phone... FFS people does everything in this world have to be fixed to a **ahem** platform. This is the reason our landfills are full of toxic heavy metals and plastic. Next they're gonna tell me I need an app to run my toaster.

If you must know, I also am in the process of getting treatment for Apnea, smoked for a decade, and work and live in a high stress environment, satisfied? I think you'll find plenty of people outside of your crossfit who are in similar condition. And no, if I take it easy for a half hour, deep breaths, center my chi and all that bs, my resting heart rate is closer to 80, it just never gets the opportunity to get that low. But thanks for the advice, I'll be returning this half-baked product until someone makes something that can give me some information thats actually useful, and I'm allowed to actually see it for myself.

Can you make an ECG, if so you can make an PDF file from the results. In android it's in your download map. Use a file manager than it's easy to find the pdf file. It looks like "Paul K._ECGReport_09 okt. 2020_17-59"

What's your heart rate when you take the ECG? You understand that you must take the ECG only while resting?

Yes, I downloaded the pdf, also dumb btw. why not show me the data and give ne the option to save it to pdf, as if only a doctor could possibly know what to do with these squiggly lines, shouldn't trust these plebs to even look at it *ptui* I have managed to get two to say normal sinus rhythm, and they still don't look much different.

The documentation for the app I believe says it will read anything between 60-120 bpm. However, I have found that I only get a conclusive result when my hr is below 100, anything above that is inconclusive. I will give credit where it is due however, according to the American Heart Association, a resting heart rate above 100 bpm would be considered tachycardia and should be considered abnormal. I just wish there were a few more diagnostic replies to the test other than 🤷‍:male_sign:, 👍, and :hospital::ambulance:. If yiu gonna say it's "inconclusive" at least tell me why, beyond a list of a half dozen things most of which would be indicated during the test (hand movement). Your left with "because you weren't resting" and "because ecgs like this won't work for you", and if yiu got a reading at all, you can pretty easily eliminate the last one as well. All I'm saying is, telling me the test is inconclusive is a cop-out. In real medicine even inconclusive tests are conclusive about something, so say something.

Also my resting heart rate is usually over 100 because I'm fat and out of shape and don't eat well, does that mean this thing will never work properly for me because it thinks I'm not at rest even when the most strenuous activity I've done all day is peel an orange?

A single lead ECG can only indicate Afib. It will not tell you if you are having a heart attack, stroke or are dying. If you want something that detects Afib over 120bps, get a Kardia Mobile. ECG's on smartwatches are very limited.

"Fat and out of shape" is not a dismissible reason for resting tachycardia. If your heart is going 100+ in a doctor's office, they would schedule tests for problems other than "out of shape".

Everything I have a Heart Rate  above 100 and try to perform an ECG. It will count for 30 second and always report inclusive. Doesn't make any sense. I thought this device is suppose tell you if your sinus is out of rhythm regardless of how high your HR is?? And if your in AFIB or not. The other answer I have ever seen was Sinus Node is in Rythm. Well please let me know if its not. Not all AFIB are heart rate little above 110 bpm.

Yes maybe for this watch but in the ER when you are having an AFIB trust me your sense will show your heart rate all over the place and your breathless and waiting for the ER to perform en ECG and they will immediately diagnose you with AFID and start a cardioversion weather its with shock or through IV medicine. Been there not too long ago. I do with this device could monitor and alert you that your having an AFIB attack. Please increase the price if you need for such functionality.

I need this device to live up to its promises. My life may depend on it. Anything less is in my opinion criminal, frankly.
