Easily breakable

Anyone else noticed how easy these screens are to break.. purchased my wife and I two fitbit sense.  Out of the gate I wasn't too happy with it overall,  but it did what I needed more or less.  Couldn't get the 6 months off free premium to work, so I signed up for the 3. Good enough I guess.

Today, it falls from a chain about 2 foot to the floor and the screen becomes heavily fractured. Of course, I was informed that this isn't covered on the warranty for this item that I purchased two months ago.

All I can do is refuse their bribe of 35 percent off another one and just go with another brand. This is the second product with an easily breakable screen I've owned and at this point, I'm basically asking to get screwed again if I go with them.

Hi @TimMarks  if you purchased this with a credit card, call the company. Some of them offer insurance that might replace the device, even if we're not aware of that protection. It's worked for others on the forums.

Good news. Amazon actually said they would replace it.  Crazy right? It's not their fault or really their job.  They didn't create a product with a weak screen,  but they still performed high end customer service when fitbit was unwilling. I'll ride the replacement out and decide on another brand when the time comes.

@TimMarks It's a full glass front with no raised edges to give any protection. It leaves pretty much no drop protection. Even the Apple watch with it's sapphire front crystal can and will break. Glass is glass.

Couldn't agree more. I use my fitness trackers to do fitness activities.
I don't wear it to be pretty and fit in with the local moms picking up
their kids from daycare. For this reason, raised edges are required for
me. There's plenty of brands that do this and I won't have a hard time
finding something to replace it. This ones on me. I chose style over
substance.

@TimMarks They do sell 3rd party cases for more rugged users.

Hey bud... keep buying fitbit products and keep doing what you are doing.
I'm not... I'm obvious harder on my gear than you. Maybe a heart rate
strap will be more my speed...
