My Sense would not launch the exercise app (kept reverting to the clock screen) so I shut the device down from the settings menu. On rebooting, it got stuck in a reboot cycle.
I've tried the restart method quite a few times (holding the side button for 10 seconds) & the hard restart (whilst connected to the charger) - it goes blank, then gave a vibration and the logo shows for around 4 seconds and it repeats.
No response to swiping in any direction nor to single or double tapping.
The Sense then showed zero battery despite being on the charger. With longer recharging, it goes into the same loop. Tried to do a factory reset but it will not respond.
Is there any way to reload the software?

Welcome to the community @Gray_B.
Thanks for sharing the details regarding your Sense and for the attempts in order to fix it.
If it is related to the battery, please follow the steps suggested in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Please, try to sync your device and if that is not possible check the tips listed here.

Thanks ManuFitbit for the response. I’ve had a look at the battery page & had already managed to tick a few of these boxes (it was the original cable; had been fully charged up just 3 hours earlier; Sense was used every day & has been synced before I was going on the run; dry day & watch is water proof; watch was running normally & no unusual messages). I did clean the contacts to see if it made any difference & tried charging for different periods up to 4 hours with no change (once it goes into the logo start up loop it just keeps going).
Re the synch settings, it doesn’t fully boot up so has been totally unresponsive to any connection attempt.
Happy to try anything (but really starting to think the firmware is buggy)

Just a quick note to close this off. Fitbit have offered a replacement, so I have accepted that & moved on.
