Today my Fibit racked up 57 floors in 1 hour! I wish I was that fit! During that hour I walked down 4 floors and used a lift to go back up so I would expect around 8 floors to show up. *edit - The rest of that hour I was walking on very level ground next to a canal so no rise or fall at all *. I know that floors are not accurate as for some reason no one has thought to correlate movement with altitude. If you're walking and going up or down then count them as floors. If you're stood still but going up or down then you're most likely in a lift. If you're moving up or down and motion is detected but not a walking pattern then likely you are in a car or on an escalator or similar. It's not beyond the scope of the devices and the back end technology to make this way more accurate than it is normally.
In my specific case today something has gone wrong. Ok, no problem just let me edit that data. Oh wait, I can't do that on the app I can only delete the whole day's floors not just one hour or one logged event. Perhaps I can do that on the web dashboard? Oh no I can't as that's now gone.
I don't think there is an answer to this other than I can't change the log at all but maybe someone knows? I did see an old post that says it's been answered and the chosen best answer was that the tracking of floors is inaccurate but doesn't affect your calorie counting or steps. That's a truly terrible answer for a feature on the app. As others have said, if the data is this unreliable it shouldn't even be offered as a feature in the first place.

Hi @GuyFit - try a watch restart to see if it clears the problem, if not it is most likely a pressure sensor watch fault, if it was working previously.
As pointed out floors are counted when altitude change is detected combined with steps but isn't included in calories which works based on heart rate.
If your watch is under warranty it can be replaced if not ignoring the floor count is probably the best option once it becomes faulty as it's only informative.

Hello @guy thanks for your reply. Obviously it's not what I want to hear that perhaps my device is faulty. I won't even check the warranty as I've just bought a Garmin. I've had enough of Googlebit now. The removal of the web dashboard being the last straw that has me wondering why on earth I have persevered for so long with such a glitchy app and declining level of support and a whole host of frustrations and annoyances. Your profile doesn't show that you are a moderator or other Googlebit representative. I guess they are all firefighting all over the forums as that's all that happens here now. There's very little space for constructive ideas and aspirations as there are so many issues and complaints that they generally just push aside. Having said that there is no response thus far on the web dashboard thread. No matter, when my data is downloaded and I have fully migrated it's goodbye Googlebit forever. Will I miss it? I don't think so. Not even having to use a separate app for macro tracking (that integration is one reason I have stayed so long) will bother me since the one I will now use actually works well and Googlebit's often doesn't.

I'm currently having the same problem not with floors, but with adding steps as I drive over bumpy roads. I used to be able to edit this, but of course now with the dashboard being gone on, i'm unable to do so. I have been dealing with support for multiple hours today. Their suggestion was to uninstall and reinstall the app and then of course hard, reset the fitbit. I have sense. Basically this makes my fitbit useless. I read above where you said you purchased a garmin. I'm not familiar with that product. Does this platform allow you to edit If it adds steps. I know that it probably will as I drive a bus and the roads are extremely bumpy. Also, does your garment hook up to something like fitness pal or anything similar?
