My needed firmware update (2/14/25) has locked up my watch screen, but when I go to start the update, my Fitbit app cant find the watch.
I can find the firmware update easily. I've made sure my watch is close by and both devices are charged. Then, I restarted both my devices, and I made sure I had the latest version of the Fitbit app.
I go to do the update, and the two devices won't connect. I'm not sure what to do next. Thanks!

I am having the same issue for about 5 days now, going through the same steps of forgetting device, repairing, waiting for update just to get a notification that it has failed and to try again. I try again and same thing, going in circles. Very annoying, my watch has been out of action now for 5 days.

Hi there @Kweathers and @Janeodoherty!
A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!
Thank you for informing us about this situation and for all your efforts.
Which Fitbit device do you have? It sounds like you could be talking about the Sense (not Sense 2) due to the Firmware Update. Could you please confirm this information?
In the meantime I suggest you try to follow the tips from this article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? Please check if you have the 4.36 Fitbit app version too and if your phone has one of the following operating systems:

Hi @Kweathers!
Thank you for your answer!
If you have the Fitbit Sense and the firmware update still cannot be installed, you can try to do a factory reset (please make sure you sync your device with the Fitbit app properly before so the data recorded remains in your account):

NONE of this works. NONE. I had issues with my Fitbit back before Christmas and it was never resolved. Against my better judgement I bought a newer one. Now my wife is having issues with her Sense 2. It will not sync. It was only causing an issue saying it needed a firmware update before I followed the advice on the forums. Now it is freaking worse. Now nothing. I get a message on the screen in a bazillion languages rotating for a download, but her phone can't find it and it will not sync. And I have restarted it and deleted and reinstalled Fitbit a bunch of times already, so please don't say that suggestion freaking again. I would like this fixed this time. Google screwed up Fitbit.

So do I understand correctly that unless I am using at least Android 10 on my Samsung Galaxy S8 I am out of luck and my Sense is now useless?
My Galaxy S8 can not be updated to a higher version beyond Android 9. I realize the phone is a bit older but it works flawlessly. I never have any issues with it.
I apparently successfully updated the firmware and app to the latest versions. At least that what the Sense and Fitbit app indicate. But the Sense won't sync with the phone and keeps indicating that I need to download the update even though it shows 100% completed and it previously took me through the entire setup process twice.
Thank you for the help in advance though I feel at this point I will be out of luck.
