FitBit Sense Still Not Providing HR and BR

ANSWERED

As of the last update when Fitbit bricked my app, I no longer get Heart Rate Variability and Breathing Rate metrics.  I was able to recover from a continuous open app and shutdown after I rebooted everything and cleared my cache.  However, my HRV and BR stopped collecting metrics on my fitbit which is quite disconcerting since I suffered a recent heart attack and use this information as part of my health tracking.

I chatted with Customer Service and they had me perform a number of steps (much of which I had already done), but they have not been able to solve the problem.  I am still waiting for a response to my issue from Fitbit, but I guess the devs are too busy with their "improvements" for the google cutover to resolve this issue.  I am quite disappointed n Fitbit/Google for not keeping us informed of some of these updates which they have pushed on us without notification and lack of assistance in resolving some of them.

I may switch over to another exercise and health tracker (Not Fitbit nor Google) after my Sense dies.

@arcgate I would contact Customer Support. It sounds like a hardware issue with your device.

@arcgate Have you tried deleting the Health Metrics tile and re-adding it? To do so, follow these steps:

  • From the main dashboard, tap the Edit button in the upper right hand corner
  • Find your Health Metrics tile and tap the X next to it
  • Tap Done
  • Tap Edit again and scroll down to the bottom where you'll see Additional Stats
  • Tap Add next to the Health Metrics tile and tap Done again

Hopefully this will reset your HRV and Breathing Rate metrics after a night of sleep.

I wish it had doen that, but it is still not showing after following the delete and add.  I even previously did a full factor reset to no avail.  I think the BR and HRV are permanently bricked.

Thank you kindly for your suggestion. I followed your instructions - a
couple of times - and kept hoping for the issue to be resolved, but it
still is not reporting my HRV and BR. Prior to that, I did a full factory
reset, and it did not get resolved after that either.
I have to assume it is now a lost cause and my fitbit will remain in its
current state.

Thank you again for providing me assistance with this issue.
Best Regards, David
