Fitbit App Dark Mode

I have seen previous requests for a dark mode for the Fitbit App - mainly go ignored.

People want a dark mode for the application for a number of reasons.

  • It looks cool
  • preserves battery life
  • it isn’t so bothersome if attempting to view the screen at night

For those of us with vision issues such as specific impairments or light sensitivity, having a dark mode option is a must!
Beyond these visual concerns, individuals who have seizures or migraines that are photo-triggered, i.e. have photophobia (sensitive to light), can benefit from a dark mode as well.

So many other apps and features have this understanding to provide dark mode options.

Fitbit is falling behind in the market on this one.

Hello @Just_Eris

I too wish there was a dark mode as well. Like you stated individuals with seizures and migraines are photo triggered. I personally suffer from (epilepsy) seizures and I also have migraines. In 2018 had a brain tumor removed which caused me to have permanent double vision (corrected with ground in prisms in my glasses) so I would certainly enjoy having the dark mode. I find it much more pleasing to my vision.
From my understanding there are no plans at this time to incorporate this feature at this time.

😉Maybe one day fingers crossed
