Fitbit - HIIT

Why does Fitbit not have a HIIT exercise function. 
surly a brand like Fitbit that promotes health and fitness would already have a HIIT function built into its app, but it doesn’t.  
I’m sure that HIIT is within the top 3 most exercises that your customers use.  Fitbit has 20 fitness functions like “golf” but no HIIT. 
Does anyone know an alternative option for HIIT?  Or do I have to stick with Apple Watch to enable this function? 
I’m only interested in Fitbit as their watch is connected to my gym logs, but if I can’t do hiit with Fitbit there’s no actual point.

I don't know why tracking HIIT would be any different from tracking a general workout.

If you had HIIT, then there would be questions about which kind of HIIT - running, or stair climbing, or lifting, or spinning.

It's all just exercise with different labels.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you Jonny but you are wrong. It’s not all just exercise.  I mean Apple have managed to do it on their apply watch.

HIIT focuses on  Cardio, high intensity which = Calorie burn.

Workout = weights and not much calorie burn. 

 

Its not all exercise with different labels?  Lifting weights to doing high intensity is a completely different workout and is not the same.

I realize they are different exercises, but, as I see it, the reported results are the same in any case; your calories burned are based on your heart rate.  In the exercise summary and daily totals, it's the same calorie burn, zone minutes, steps, no matter what category you called it.  If you are concerned about having the right label with it in your history, I can see the distinction, but not in how it would report results.

And if you record it as 'Workout', you can change the category afterward.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

So what your basically saying is all 20 fitness applications that Fitbit provide in their watches are wrong and that there should only be one which should be “Workout”, for everything and all others are irrelevant?  

I think we would have to agree to disagree with this, HIIT workouts are measured by pace tracking calories per minute, most HIIT is interval training.  With all other fitness devices you can track HIIT which shows, calories burn per minute, highest timing, relaxing heart rate (how long it takes your body to recover at intervals), average heart rate.  For weight training the above is irrelevant, for golf, the above is irrelevant as you do not need to know such information. 
I appreciate your response, but it’s not relevant to my question.  I really want to go to Fitbit but it just does not offer this within its app like all other fitness devices. It’s 2021 and the majority of people do HIIT training like , Metafit, Gym classes, home workouts etc.  Without this kind of application it filters out to people mainly using Fitbit to count steps, check their sleep etc.
