I received my Sense on April 28 as part of the Ionic recall and downloaded the new firmware as part of the Sense setup. Since the firmware download, the battery life is noticeably shorter. I have to charge the Sense about every 36 hours. I do not use the spO2 face and don't have my current watch face set to always on. Also, I don't have any music, texts, voice activation set up either. Any ideas why the battery life is so short? Thank you!

"downloaded the new firmware as part of the Sense setup. Since the firmware download..."
You don't know if its fw related as a fw update is mandatory before first use (as in your case)
I would reset the Sense and start again with the setup. If the issue is still present, then disconnect it from your phone (within the FB app) and monitor if the battery life improves. If it improves then you will need to uninstall and then reinstall the app. Still no improvement, then you should look at resetting your phone. Yes, a pain I know but as part of fault finding this may be necessary.
Alternately, you could connect to another phone and test to rule out an issue with your phone.

In my experience, I sync to the app in the morning then close it. Takes my battery life from a little over a day to a few days. Despite how much it nags you to open the app, don't do it more than once or twice a day and make sure to close it when you're done.

"I sync to the app in the morning then close it."
Interesting, never thought to do that. I pesume you force stop the app from within Apps & notifications if using Android?
Not something I need to consider as I currently get up to 8 days battery life, with the screen display on auto/10secs.

Shouldn't be required, if the tracker worked correctly why does the app need to be open all day in order to sync, receive notifications etc.?

It's not you or your device. I have a Versa Lite, and it seems to be effecting those who updated their devices due to the recent firmware update.

Thanks to all who replied to this post. I believe the issue is with my snore report being enabled. I disabled that feature and now the battery life is much longer!

@SunsetRunner the background fitbit services, need to be running in the background for the tracker to sync. Why, because these include the fitbit Bluetooth drivrrs and the timer to start the sync process.
I have the latest and get 5-6 days. However, if I charge Sutton a shower, I rarely see the app go low.
