I went for my usual bike ride today. Now, the Fitbit Blaze I was using and my bike's odometer were usually within 1/4 mile of each other in terms of total distance traveled..about 8.2 miles. The Sense, over the same path, registered about 6.9 miles. That is a significant discrepancy. Any thoughts on how to fix it? Or should I just send the Sense back and return to the Blaze?
And, just as an aside, whoever thought the wrist band that comes with the Sense was a good idea, it's not.

Have you done a Map my Ride or other way to verify distance? I am not sure if the Fitbit GPS can be set but with Garmin you can set intervals for it. It usually updates every few seconds but that takes more battery life - in that though it can show you ran over a roof. It can have quirks. I will say with the Sense it has been accurate for me. Strava hasn't been so much so but the Fitbit GPS is matching distances to what I know them to be. An explanation could be that I am running slower than you are riding so depending on how often it updates, maybe that's a factor? And to your knowledge, is your bike's odometer set correctly? It looks like the Blaze runs off your phone's GPS. When I did that using the Versa 2, it was way off.
I'd be more inclined to trust the Sense GPS but to be sure, it'd be good to test it on an absolute known distance. For my known distances so far, it has been completely correct.

What does the Fitbit map of the ride look like?
Who thought of the band design which I find very comfortable compared to past bands.
It was your fellow Fitbit owners that requested this design. Fitbit and Amazon have other models.

The gps will get quicker and more accurate the more you use it from the same spots. ☺️
This is how I understand the information, at least. Keep trying, if you’re still within the return window.
