Fitbit Sense Setup

I just bought a Fitbit Sense and I have tried to set it up.  I have tried to set it up on the PC with the windows download.  It goes through all the setup but then my fitbit stays on the setup face.

 

I have also tried to set it up on my phone a galaxy 8+ and it will not connect with the fitbit through the Bluetooth even though it is on.  I have deleted the fitbit app and reinstalled it as well and that has not worked.

 

Can someone please help me with this problem?

Hi @melmurrhee,

 

first, I would recommend shutting down the PC or turn off Bluetooth.

Second, have you tried to add your Sense within the Fitbit app on your mobile or within the Bluetooth settings? The latter is not supported. Please use only the Fitbit app to add a new device. To get started open the Fitbit app, login if not already done, tap to the left top corner to your profile and select setup a new device.

 

Your Sense currently still shows download the Fitbit app and start to connect it, right?

Hello this is how i got mine working. I did as you did and tried to use my laptop to get the fitbit up and working but i guess for the purpose of it firmware install you cannot start with the app on a pc or laptop it has to be threw a mobile device like a phone or supposedly a tablet. I seen my buddy pull out his brand new Iphone 12 so i asked if i could borrow his phone for about 25 minutes we booth sitting back watching shows at my house so this was no big deal he already has fitbit app on his phone I just logged his account out and started a new account for myself and it took about 25 minutes to fully install the firmware and get the watch up and running after that i could use the app on my laptop but it not perfect as it will not sync on command to my laptop but if i browsing the web and watching movie i noticed it sync up every now and then to the laptop. So i still want the ability to sync on command so i borrow my moms cell phone it one of those government phones for the poor people and i add the app and it worked flawlessly on that also. This is how i got my sense up and running i hope this info will help you some.

Thank you for that information.

I have already contacted Fitbit support and it turns out that the Bluetooth
in the Sense was not working properly. They are sending a new one to me
since, of course, it is under warranty for free.
