My new fitbit sense will annoyingly start a workout routine automatically - seemingly because the button is pushed by accident when my hand is bent backwards a bit so the button pushes against the outer wrist. This happens while asleep too - and I tend to wake up with a low battery and a 7 hour long swim logged in the system.
Needless to say, this is really annoying and happens at least 5 times a day. Regardless of where and how the watch is worn (higher or lower on the wrist). Is there any way to turn off the feature where holding the button will automatically start a workout? I am just surprised this wasn't an issue that came up in development or is a feature that can get turned off. At this rate I am hoping I can return and replace the item with another fitness watch.

Hi, @Dani1004, welcome to the community, the "Sense" does not have any buttons as such but sensors that are integral elements of the metal border holding the gorilla glass screen. You can start exercises in two ways. The first is by navigating to the "Exercise" icon, swiping to your desired exercise and depending on your choice tapping the screen twice to get things rolling. The other method is to allow your "Sense" to auto recognize the exercise. Starting from the today screen on your phone app touch your icon in the top left corner>activity & wellness>exercise> here you can edit the exercises, switch them off or change the "longer than" setting. You could switch these all off if you so desired. Page 54 in the manual provides advice and guidance.
If you are unable to make progress please post here again.
Cheers
