Hi
There seems to be an issue with my Fitbit sense. I purchased my watch in May 2021 and the battery already seems to be running for only about 3 days.
I charged it to a 100% yesterday but it seems to have died on me today. I recorded only one exercise activity of a run in the evening yesterday that lasted about an hour and the battery had drained to 4%.
I do not have app notifications activated. It’s only phone and sms.
Could you please help diagnose the issue and let me know what the problem is? Is there a problem with my piece?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Do you have snore report on?
If you charged it yesterday, recorded an exercise, then went to sleep. The overnight snore report drains the battery rapidly. Check snore report and
“readiness” report. Readiness is one of your tiles on the today page if you’re not familiar with that.
Aside from this, monitor your battery usage from when you go to bed and when you wake up. See if the majority of drain is when you sleep.
I checked my battery usage over several days, morning, noon and night in effort to determine when the most drain occurred. Also factored in variables like the amount of calls, texts, emails etc.

I did start opt in for the “readiness” report. It could have been causing the drain. I’ll switch it off and check.
My battery drained off 30% in my sleep and infact 25% (from 100-75%) in just a matter of 3 hours.
it’s a pity if the readiness report is causing it because the drain then makes the readiness report useless coz u need to wear your watch for 14 days for it to be accurate

Thank you for this advice which I found when searching for help. I have tried this so hopefully it will sort my issue of watch needing charged daily!

I have the exact same problem even though I have disabled just about everything. The problem started after the last update to 128.6.12. The battery charge icon alternates continuously with the battery empty icon. I have made a photo but I cannot upload it here to this forum - another issue that fitbit needs to resolve. This is clearly a operating system problem that is causing fitbit sense to malfunction. Can someone at fitbit please solve this problem at the earliest but identifying the bug and launching a new update to correct the problem. Thanks.

What good are all the apps if you can’t wear your watch because it’s always needing to be charged… I charged my Sense about 5 hours ago and it’s already down to 75%…. Starting to think the upgrade to Sense isn’t worth it.

Yes, something that they recently did seems to be draining the battery for 25% in 4-5 hours
Something needs to be reversed.

When I first got my Sense in July, the battery lasted almost a week… admittedly, there weren’t as many tracking options, but having to charge every day (as it’s looking like I’ll have to)? That’s why I didn’t buy an Apple Watch…again, rethinking my purchase…. but can’t return it now….

I’ve heard the Apple Watch needs frequent charging (daily?)

I turned off snore report earlier today and the battery life seems to be improved so far… not sure how accurate it is anyway…

Same. I turned off the snore report too and after 1 day , only 20% of my battery was used..at this rate, the battery would last me 5 days
the fitbit team further recommended not using 3rd party clock face.. that will be my next test .. it'll extend the battery to 5+ days then

Turning off snore seems to solve a lot of the problems

Same issue I am having, I have turned off pretty much everything except basic tracking and even that doesn't seem to be working. I'm thoroughly disappointed that I spent so much on money for the specific functions that is advertised and I can't even really use most of them because the battery is draining too quickly, ON or OFF!!

But I have not turned on snore, so it is not an issue in my case. SpO2 also causes a battery drain. There are too many issues with Fitbit Sense. Besides, if we turn off everything, what is the point of having a Fitbit Sense? Fitbit needs to hire someone from Samsung or Apple to give them a hand.

After trying out just about everything on Sense including factory reset, I have finally discovered that it is not the Sense but the Fitbit app on iPhone that is malfunctioning. Delete the Fitbit app on iPhone, then download it again, login and sync. Voila, the problem gets resolved, worked for me. Good luck.

Thanks, but how do you delete the entire App? I can delete it from the Home Screen but it keeps it in the App Library…

Deleting the app from iPhone also deletes it from the library - it's different from android. In the meantime, I have continued to experiment. I have discovered that the battery drains very, very quickly if Sense is not close to the iPhone because it tries continuously to connect to the phone in order to sync - the corresponding icon of a cancelled battery keeps flashing - and this process drains the Sense battery very quickly. Of course, make sure that in the Fitbit app on iPhone, location is on "always", Background App Refresh is enabled. And sync manually from time to time.
All this is a pain and not worthy of a Fitbit flagship but the Fitbit admins or customer supporter or whoever is responsible don't seem to bother to respond.
