Fitbit Sense broken in less then three weeks

I have had many fitbits since My first one in 2014! The sense is by far the worst, most fragile ever! Sense screen chipped when I bumped a door frame while pushing a wheelchair at work, not a hard bump but managed to chip the screen. Bought exactly three weeks ago, that’s right THREE WEEKS!!! contacted Fitbit but it’s not “covered under warranty”. They also can’t/won’t fix their own product not even at my expense. The solution from them was to offer for me to buy another one and offered 35% off a new purchase. Lost me as a customer Fitbit. I’ll be buying an Apple Watch next time. Stay away from Sense!!

Hi, @Mema82, welcome to the community, sad to hear of your accident. You do not say if your "Sense" has stopped working, if it is still functioning it would be wise not to let it get wet. Fitbit's warranty & Fitbit Legal: Limited Warranty is clear, unless you bought the FPP extension accidental damage is excluded. You may have additional protection in your local jurisdiction. I have read of some US buyers who used a specific credit card claiming accident insurance the CC provider gave them but I have no experience of it. You might look at your home insurance policy but recovery will be subject to your franchise (Deductible) rendering it less than useful.

I understand the warranty, I’m a reasonable person! What I did not expect is for the Sense to be so fragile, chips from a small bump! and I was looking to fix it, even at my expense if not covered under warranty but Fitbit doesn’t have any outlet for that… my post is a buyer beware. It’s an extremely “delicate product” that I would not recommend to anyone
