Does Fitbit offer free return shipping if you buy from Fitbit and elect to return within the 45 day window?

Then there is obviously a reason to buy from Amazon instead of Fitbit, Amazon offers free return shipping. It's somewhat dumbfounding today that companies like Fitbit that sell their devices in stores like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon, all of which you can buy and return for free if you don't like it; yet if you buy from Fitbit directly you have to pay return shipping. There's literally no incentive to buy directly from Fitbit or other companies that don't offer free return shipping.

I agree with everything that you said however there is one slight advantage to buying from Fitbit directly for a select few individuals. If you are new to Fitbit and think 30 days may not be enough trial time you do get up to 45 days to return a Fitbit. Personally I think most newbies to Fitbit will know within mere days how amazing these devices are but for some the extra 15 days could possibly be worth it?

Fitbit doesn't care who you buy from. They give you all the options, and then you can do as you like. As this thread demonstrates, some people buy from Fitbit for purely emotional reasons. No reason why they shouldn't give the option.

Well the extra 15 days come at a cost as if you did want to return you'd have to pay for return shippiing, so you wouldn't get a full refund on your original purchase price after you factor in the cost of return shipping. Where B&M store or amazon you can return for free and get a full refund with no return shipping costs.
