I've had this issue for awhile now but recently its been bugging me more & more.
My Fitbit Sense doesn't change the 'recent excercise' list when I do a new activity. It used to work as expected, however I feel that since the last firmware update this seems to have stopped working.
In my recent list, I have - Walk, Swim & Workout. I only do 3 different activites, Walk (which is convenient) Treadmill & Bike. Bike isnt hard to find, its a short scroll down, but to find treadmill it feels like I've got to do quite a bit of scrolling to get down to it which is frustrating.
I've tried powering off my Sense a couple of times & hasnt made a difference. Short of doing a factory reset & setting it back up again I'm out of ideas - I really want to avoid doing this as then I have to go through & set everything back up again, payments, alarms, skins....

Hi @Guy_
Yes I have tried a full shutdown from the watch settings menu. I even turned it off for about 30mins before turning it back on... still no luck.
I'd been hoping for a new firmware & hoping that this might help, but theres no way of knowing how far off a new f/w would be.
On a positive note, I've now managed to fix this issue - but its not how I would have thought.
What I've been doing to test between changes, is to just do a 'dummy' excercise workout & see if it reflects in the recent list.
The workflow was: turn off & wait => power on => dummy excercise => check the recent list.
What ACTUALLY fixed/resolved this issue seems wierd to me (but I'm happy with the outcome) was:
Using the Fitbit app on my iPhone
After reconnecting the watch to the wifi, I did a dummy excercise => check the recent list & SUCCESS!!
I hope this helps someone else if they encounter the same issue (or similar)
Cheers!

Hi @Rextacy - best to avoid a factory reset if possible, did you try a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu? and wait 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it. The next firmware release may refresh it or even fix it, so perhaps be patient.

@Rextacy - interesting indeed, you'll probably get the same effect when charging from below 50%.
It might indicate that the watch is not syncing well due possibly to an issue with the Fitbit App because the watch may have synced with your account over WiFi.
A clear storage and force stop of the App may help for Android.
It would seem from what you say that the ordering of exercises is done via the Fitbit App and your account on the Fitbit servers.
