**update o factory reset the watch again the button was working just fine. Lasted a few hours and turned off. When I got home I put it on charge. Came back 10 minutes later to an incredibly hot watch. The back plate was swollen and pushed out. So it was taken outside onto concrete. Not impressed a 2 year old watch failing like this. So lucky I found it overheating on charge and it didn't explode in my house
**edit to add I can no longer turn my watch on 😞 **
Fitbit Sense just over 2 years old. Suddenly draining battery and side button not responding appropriately. occasionally works then gets "stuck" as if you keep touching it, or holding it down, doesn't respond, tries to open apps, gets stuck in a boot loop with black then logo then black etc. this all makes the screen freeze, can take minutes to hour to unfreeze. cleaned, factory reset. uninstalled app/ reinstalled. no updates, removed screen protector. I cant think of anything else to try

It has never been hot before. It was just turned off and wouldnt turn on I assumed because the button is broken. it was only on charge for 10 minutes, it was incredibly hot, and the back plate pushed out. Its outside on the concrete away from everything

Fitbit hasn't given any explanation to what went wrong but they are replacing.the watch. I'm happy with that! Its just passed 2 years old. I've looked after the watch well so was shocked to see it fail like it did. I've never had anything swell up like that. So so lucky I didn't leave it on charge it would have been bad!

I received my replacement watch today which I was happy about. BUT the watch is faulty and keeps restarting. So they are replacing it. Arghhh I appreciate they have helped out. But receiving a brand new faulty one isn't fun.
