Fitbit Sense suddenly completely died?

Hi. Looking for advice, though I think I’ve done all I can before contacting customer support.
My Sense, which is the 2nd replacement for my previous sense’s which also played up not long after buying them, has once again suddenly died completely!!!!

Last night the screen started to freeze and would not respond. I tried a soft reset but the Sense would not even respond to this. After approximately 20 minutes it suddenly died. The battery charge at that point was 63% so that was not the issue.
I checked this forum and tried to carry out hints and instructions, but as it was completely dead, nothing obviously worked.
I have tried restarting it and placing it on charge, but all that happens is the watch gets extremely hot and is still completely dead, any ideas before I contact customer support?

Thank you

Hi @PDFH - the watch has clearly developed an internal fault, probably from water getting in, once or over time, never charge if it gets hot as it's dangerous.

If it's out of warranty you may be offered a discount but unfortunately it's only valid on one of the more expensive watches which don't have all the features your watch has/had.

Hi,
I hadn’t thought of water ingress being the possible fault, mainly because it supposed to be waterproof, but things happen.
And yes, I stopped attempting to charge it as soon as I felt it getting hot!!!
I’m not sure if it’s still in warranty, but I’ll contact customer support.
Thanks very much for your reply though👍🏼

I went on the live chat with customer support, and after some very detailed questions and photos of the watch, charger cable and usb plug etc, they are going to swap the broken Sense with a new one.
So I am very happy with their help, assistance, and of course the outcome.
