Hi all,
About a month ago I switched from Android Wear to Fitbit Sense. The device is good enough, but there are some annoying issues, that I cannot solve:
1) "Sync failed" message. The most annoying thing. It occurs about once per week - the watch completely stops all data sync with the smartphone. The Fitbit app only showing "Sync failed" when trying to sync. I think, it caused by using the Music control app, but not 100% sure in it. The problem is on Fitbit side - switching the phone to airplane mode and back, switching Bluetooth on/off does not help, even reboot the phone does not help. Only switching the watch on and off helps - but why in the watch menu there is no button to restart Bluetooth connection?
2) Playback control from the watch. I use Samsung Galaxy S10 and Google Chromecast to watch the movies. When the Chromecast is playing, after 5-10 minutes the Control app on Fitbit sense does not work more - the connection always became lost. It was working without any issues on Android Wear watch, but Fitbit does not work correctly this way.
3) There is no automatic detection on the watch if music/video is playing on the phone. It works with Android Wear - if I watch Youtube or listen to music, the controls appear on the watch automatically. On Fitbit it does not work, I need to double-press the button to open the control app. One of the main reasons for having a smartwatch is to have smooth integration with the phone, but here it does not work. But ok, maybe limited connection its a payment for the long battery life.
In general, Sense it's a nice piece of hardware, but these things are too annoying. This watch is not so cheap, and it'd definitely not normal to restart it every week for normal work.
I don't think, "1" or "3" can easily be solved. About "2", does anybody have a successful experience of using this watch with Chromecast?
Thanks,

Hi
I've been having sync issues with my sense also and finally contacted customer service about this and I was told my phone isn't on the compatible devices list, which is really annoying! I have a Sony Xperia 5, running latest software but apparently it doesn't like the Sense! So I'm having reboot, re install on a regular basis to get them to sync.

Thanks. For me it was easier, the watch turn off and on helps, I did not need to make reinstall.
In my case, the connection became broken when I use the music controls from Fitbit. It looks that after 5-10 minutes of playing video with Chromecast, a smartphone is going to the "sleep mode" but Fitbit software does not recognise this correctly. Now I am not using this remote control at all, no Bluetooth fails more.
