Seems like a lot of Sense watches crashed today. Mine shows Fitbit Logo only. Cannot restart, etc.

Now, after I sprayed some Electrical Cleaner through the gap of the loose metal plate and blow it out afterwards, some time after my Sense seems working fully again. I will try it at night and see what's to happen. Should I send back the Charge 5 or keep it, what do you think? Cheers

Mine won’t charge at all, charged fine on the 11th and then I went to put it on charge last night, it wouldn’t charge, cleaned both the back of the sense and charger yet still nothing .

Support was only able to suggest a hard restart. Since it was out of warranty they referred me to the extended warranty I purchased, which lapsed 30 days after my original Sense was replaced due to a similar but different failure. So I'm rather out of luck at this point and not convinced I want to drop $200-$300 on a new device that may have the same thing happen a year or so down the road. I like FitBit, have been using them for years and am used to the devices and the app, and don't particularly want to try a different device manufacturer. Are you able to suggest something in the FitBit line that is less likely to experience these kind of failures?

I bought the Charge 5 for €85 second hand. Maybe I keep it just in case. I rarely charged my Sense fully, most just from 20 to 80–85%. I think it does extend the battery life. Read it somewhere in relation to mobile phones. My HTC U11 is now 5 years old and the battery still good enough for 1.5 days.

I've been having issues with the relax breathing app for a little while now. Now the whole watch is stuck in an endless cycle of rebooting 🥺

My sense stopped charging and working, too. I can get it to connect for a second to try to continue the firmware update, but the battery is too low and will not charge. I tried everything I could and then contacted chat support twice. They were unhelpful and just ended the chat on me when I advised their apologies and discount code did not make up for the fact that their firmware update crashed my device, and since my warranty ended 7/22/23 they advised they can do nothing but offer me 35% off a new device. I am unhappy that this is the third fitbit device of mine that has stopped working right after my year warrant is over. Especially when this seems to be a common issue that just occurred from the firmware update for many of us. Would be curious to find out if any one was successful on getting their sense to work again.

I spent an hour on the phone with Fitbit Chat. They tried to get me to buy a new device. Suspicious, I tried pairing my Sense with another phone with the Fitbit App to no avail and then my old Versa to the same two phones to no avail. I think the problem is with the app not our devices.

Im looking at Apple Watch. I had bad experience with Fitbit devices failing...Versa, Iconics (2x), and now my Sense.

Check out the YT Channel from “The Quantified Scientist”, he does test smartwatches for their performance in different categories. Fitbit is in some upper positions, especially at sleep tracking.

Same exact situation but they said they were going to email me the steps to fix it. I worry that the security update or maybe the google addition makes my Sense obsolete. Lots of money to pay for a watch to only work for 2.5 years.

I have been a loyal fitbit customer for a very long time and have bought 6 fitbits. This situation is so wrong. I hope someone sues them.

My Sense did the same thing ....very odd ... Makes you wonder what happened AND if it is affecting all Sense users but haven't reported. I hope they figure this out soon.

1. I got my first Sense sometime in May 2023. It worked fine for a while. But then I had to call support for some features not working properly. They advised me to do the reset. right after that, it got stuck in the logo. The support person tried other things but eventually concluded that it was malfunctioning and sent me a replacement.
2. So I got the replacement. A few weeks later it was not sensing/collecting my sleep data. Called support again and after trying a few things it got stuck in the logo again. I said to them this problem needs to be elevated to the engineering team and insisted that they examine it. So I sent it back and got another replacement.
3. I was hoping that the third replacement would work fine and had decided that if I ran into the same problem I would say goodbye to Sense. But to my utter frustration, the third replacement also exhibited the same problem. I was mad to have gone through 3 devices and all winding up with the same problem. Called support again and reached the call center in Central America. Spoke to the supervisor and explained my frustrations with him and asked him if he could send me a replacement but not Sense. I suppose that that they are all trained to textbook answers. He displayed no empathy and when asked if I could write directly to the Fitbit design team, he was not helpful.
Bottom line DO NOT BUY SENSE. It is very unreliable.

Today mine is hopeless, cleaned and done everything right - been trying all day to charge it - tried different inputs in the house - is it all ruined, should I buy a new one, and what is the best. I need one. I have an old Charge, but the strap is broken, can't find a new one. But my Charge 2 has been more stable

My first expression during the workout today, the Charge 5 has a far better heart rate tracking than the sense, have almost the same functionality and is cheaper.
