Fitbit Sense voice replies do not work

The voice replies on my sense for texts won't work. I've tried restarting my watch, phone, the app, deleting the cache...all of it and still won't go through. Should I just return for something else?

Hello @Dhomyn Welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you for the troubleshooting steps that you've followed prior to posting!

I would recommend performing an update to the Fitbit App. For this, please make sure to follow the correct steps from this help article:

How do I use the Fitbit app?

In addition, note that your phone must be nearby with Bluetooth turned on and the Fitbit app running in the background. To use the microphone in Sense, in the Settings app, make sure the Microphone setting is turned on.

If the issue persists, please proceed with the following:

1. Tell your phone to "forget" the bluetooth connection to your Fitbit device:
2. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Tap the information icon or gear icon next to the name of your Fitbit device.
4. Find the option to forget the device.

Then, please setup the notifications and quick replies again. For more information, please check:

How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

How do you ensure the Fitbit app is running in the background? I think this is the issue in that half the time I need to use the voice dictation to a message, I haven't opened the app in the last few hours.

Hello @KDDC, it's great to see you around!

On Settings > Developer Options > Processes (or Settings > System > Developer Options > Running services.) Here you can view which processes are running. Note that these instructions may vary depending on the model you have so I recommend checking your phone's manual for further instructions.

On a side note, for more information about the Fitbit App, please check: What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?

Thanks for that. I checked and there is 1 process and 1 service running. Fitbit Notification Service and Fitbit Process.

It still doesn't work. Any other suggestions?
