I've checked the help section and the other answers on this forum.
The process gets as far as the phone requesting the 4 digits displayed on the device screen. Only the device screen does not show 4 digits, it shows it's own request for digits.

Hi there @norman.prather. It is nice to see you around.
Thank you for include the information and the photo in your post.
The information in the photo you gave leads me to believe that your device was probably configured with a security code, which is what is being requested. Please keep in mind that we do not advise removing the Fitbit app or unpairing your device because it might not be able to be re-paired.
To learn how to modify the security code on your device, please look at this support page.

That makes sense. So now that I've followed the advice given to other posters and removed/reinstalled the app and unpaired the device....how do I proceed?
Edit: That worked. Thank you. I'm only a little upset that nothing else mentioned that possible issue. (I'd forgotten about the locking setup because trying to setup the "pay by phone" option never worked.
Again thanks

Thanks @norman.prather, for your reply.
It's nice to hear from you with good news, but I want to make sure. You no longer have this problem, correct?
