I got a new phone and my Sense paired with it, seemingly automatically. My steps and other stats sync fine to the phone. But the temp on the watch's Weather app shows temp in Celsius. The phone app has that unit set to Fahrenheit. Why and how to fix?
What I've tried so far:
- allow contacts and calls to be synced (even though I have no intention of using the watch for calls and texts, it's just to tiny a format for my eyesight)
- set the phone app to Celsius, synced, changed the app back to Fahrenheit, synced again.
- Shut down & restarted the watch
The Weather app is just stuck on Celius! What can I try next?
thanks

From phone app Today screen:
Profile pic > Sense > Gallery > Sense tab at top > Weather > Settings > Unit
The temp units set with the other units is just for the skin (and body) temp. Not that it totally makes sense, but perhaps the Weather app setting is considered more of an AccuWeather setting, as opposed to a native Fitbit setting.

Thank you!!! I gotta wonder how it got changed to begin with. And why they didn't name that tile "Apps" instead of "Gallery"? Google has a lot more UI work to do on this app they bought!

Hi @kazarburg - They changed the way to get to the Apps - you now need to go to the Gallery tile, not the Apps tile. It just arrived in a new release of the Fitbit App without any announcement, hence the post.

Hi @kazarburg. It's good to see you here. @JohnnyRow and @Guy_ Thanks for your insights and great suggestions!
@kazarburg I'm glad the Weather app is showing the right unit and thanks for your efforts while working on this situation. Just to clarify, let me explain that our team called it Gallery since in there you can find not only apps, but also a variety of clock faces available for your Sense. However, I appreciate your feedback and we'll make sure to keep improving our services, as well as making Fitbit more useful for you.
Have a good one.
Best AnswerI literally just bought my Sense, and it was set to Celsius out of the box. The units setting on my Fitbit app was set to Fahrenheit, but for some reason, the weather app on the Sense showed Celsius. If I had to guess, I would say it was set that way by default by the developer.
I looked all through that section trying to find a way to change that stupid setting, but here I thought "Gallery" was a gallery of clock faces and apps! Who would have thought the settings for said apps would be listed in the gallery of apps to choose from?? You're right, it needs some work!

@Nic_ - the big question is why does Weather have its own temperature units and not follow those chosen by the user in the Fitbit App.
It would be far less confusing and less demanding for the majority of users.
For the rare users needing it different, Weather could offer an override mode.

Hi there, @Nic_ and @Guy_. It's good to see you here.
@Nic_ I'm glad you were able to change the units, and thanks to you and @Guy_ for sharing your insights. Because Weather is a separated app from the Skin Temperature tile, our team added settings to each feature so you can adjust them depending on your preference. However, I understand your point of view and this feedback will help us to improve our products, services and overall environment.
Have a good one.
Thank you so much! I had to do a factory reset last night and could not figure out why my Sense was showing Celsius and my Fitbit app was showing Fahrenheit.
