Fitbit deleting steps

My Fitbit has been taking steps away over the course of the day.  I work out and gain 10,000 steps and later in the day it shows 5000 steps or less.  Help!

I had the same issue a few weeks back.  As it turns out, it was a bug within the app.  After downloading a fresh copy of the app, the issue resolved itself.
